Question by Jay P: Can you identify this bird species? It’s a finch.?
They’re roaming around a pacific island and they are not indigenous to the place. Can you identify the species so I could learn more about them? The picture isn’t quite clear but you can see the color of their beak and stuff.

It looks like a male zebra finch.

uh huh,,,,it is an Orange cheeked waxbill (Estrilda melpoda)
It’s an african estridea and a wonderfull lil fellow to have in a planted aviary.
I bred them.Here’s a picture of an adult male.
